Alvin Fiddler to be Grand Chief of Nishnawbe Aski Nation

Nishnawbe Aski Nation’s Head Electoral Officer Audrey Gilbeau has reported that only one candidate has been nominated in Nishnawbe Aski Nation’s by-election. Nominations closed on July 7, 2023. The candidate will be acclaimed by Resolution according to Nishnawbe Aski Nation’s Election Procedures.

Alvin Fiddler is from Muskrat Dam and was the only candidate. Alvin Fiddler is expected to take the position of Grand Chief of Nishnawbe Aski Nation this August of 2023 at this years Keewaywin Conference.
